iOS 4.2 Beta 2 – New Multitasking!
Apple released last night the new iteration of its beta firmware for the iPad/iPhone/iPod, iOS 4.2 Beta 2.
Few changes have been noticed, but a couple new features are noteworthy:
- When switching between apps via the Multitasking Bar, iOS 4.2 Beta 2 features a new animation effect, similar to the slide transitions seen with applications like Keynote or PowerPoint
- New options are now offered when uploading videos with the embedded YouTube app
- An overall speed boost is noticeable, and the OS footprint seems to have been reduced, as reported by our colleagues from ipadevice.
