“The Mac App Store Won’t Let You Waste Your Money”
We Beg to Differ!
While what Cult of Mac reports and App Advice reiterates is true, The Mac App Store, along with the Apple App Store will not let you repurchase Mac or iPad apps that you already own, I beg to differ that either App Store won’t let you waste your money. If you buy an app and it does not live up to its billing or you simply do not like it, it’s still yours… no refunds are ever given.
Enter Apps for iPads; that’s why we exist! We do not cut, paste and regurgitate the copy printed in the App Store. We buy each app (on rare occasions developers have offered apps to us for review and giveaways but those are always noted in our copy) and thoroughly test them out before publishing our articles, most with video reviews included. We allow you to SEE how an iPad app performs, or doesn’t BEFORE you buy it. We are always cognizant of what our readers are looking for so be sure to stop by Apps for iPads and post a comment on those you like and especially would like to see more of!
Apps for iPads REALLY doesn’t want you to waste your money! THAT’S exactly why we are HERE! Please leave us a comment or give us a “thumbs up” if you would like to see MORE!
Wondering what to do if you already own Apple’s creativity or work software suites; iLife and iWork now that they’re on the Mac App Store? The answer is simple: nothing.
As you’ll discover if you already own them (or they were pre-installed on your Mac) and try to purchase them, the Mac App Store will prevent you from doing so. That is, the Mac App Store app is actually capable of detecting (under certain conditions) what applications you already have on your Mac. This applies to both Apple and third party applications.
